Did the wrwc resonate outside of rugby circles?

Just wondering if anyone has seen or heard of an increase in girls or women playing rugby after the success of the wrwc. We saw the massive attendances and it got good TV coverage but did it just become an extra set of matches people who already enjoyed rugby also enjoy watching?

I would move in rugby enjoying groups and those folks enjoyed watching it but none of my non rugby enjoying acquaintances mentioned anything about it. Also none of my kids teams have seen any new girls join their rugby team since the world cup leading me to think it didn't embrace the general public as much as we hoped it would

Maybe I get this feeling because we are located in a very strong gaa community and other more diverse sporting areas have seen an increase?
