Thought it might be no harm to discuss in one central place rather than across different show threads.

• 07:00 - 09:00 - Morning Ireland: No change (although maybe new permanent hosts needed?)
• 09:00 - 11:00 - Today with David McCullagh: Hour earlier start, new host
• 11:00 - 13:00 - Oliver Callan show: longer show and later start
• 13:00 - 13:45 - News @ 1: no change
• 13:45 - 15:00 - Liveline: no change to time, but new host - Kieran Cuddihy
• 15:00 - 16:00 - Louise Duffy: 1 hour mid-afternoon show, presume it'll be the same show she did at 12, just later
• 16:00 - 18:00 - Drivetime: Starting and finishing an hour earlier with Katie Hannon & Colm Ó'Mongáin hosting
• 18:00 - 19:00 - new sports show: Presume this is game on moving from 2fm?

Obvious question is where are Cormac Ó hEadhra and Sarah McInerney going. Colm Ó'Mongáin's Saturday show and the late debate will need new hosts too I guess.

No, it was a nice compact show. The hour kept the waffle to a minimum, she got a lot of tunes in and kept things snappy.

The bank Holiday shows on the other hand are a mess...

worth including here that Rachel English is the main presenter of the News at One and I am sure she is next on patricia moynihan's hit list.

Virgin Media are reporting on their 12.30 news that Sarah McInerney is indeed likely to join Morning Ireland but that it will be Justin McCarthy who will fill the other vacancy on that programme. I wonder would Cormac Ó hEadhra take over This Week in this scenario?

I would suspect Sarah is moving to the weekend to replace Miriam. It was interesting that no announcement was made about weekend slots. Miriam is approaching retirement and is older than Sean O'Rourke was when he was shown the door at 65. I'd say they are putting the final touches on the new weekend and TV schedule.

Heard that all right, hope it's true. She was fairly strong on the point that it will remain a music show and I think she specifically said it wouldn't be a magazine show. I imagine Louise probably had the same reaction as we did to the RTE press release describing her new show so glad she is aware what her audience wants.

Yes there definitely won't be anywhere for tubridy now with all those changes. Everything in RTE used to change glacially now suddenly everything is changing all at once. He is now wondering why did he pay back that 150K , that was to smooth the path back to RTE

I can understand McCullogh going head to head with PK (and later COB) and I can see a reasoning for shortening it to 2 hours. Not a fan of Callan or that 9am show going back a long while. Guess he must be popular if they are doubling the length. KC is an interesting Liveline choice, will be interesting to see if it become more current affairs/opinions, ie is it moving on from JD’s audience. Sarah McInerney would be a serious loss without a daily show. CO’H is much poorer when he presents by himself so it will be interesting to see where this goes. If he goes to This Week the. It will probably be fine as the interviewees are generally more serious and he won’t be as tempted to act the clown as he does on occasions.

Newstalk won’t let Cuddihy appear on the Late Late tonight as they say he’s under contract with them. Have they asked D’Arcy if he’s free?

I won't be listening to Liveline anyway. Kieran Cuddihy is an instant no.

Very disappointing change to Drivetime - too early first of all, and I won't be listening to Katie for long, and her and Colm will be dull as dishwater for any topics outside serious news - a terrible combination. I've no interest in sport, so I may be switching off the radio altogether from 4-7 at least.

Hopefully, Louise Duffy 's show isn't changing. She's bad at chats and interviews, and it would be a shame to detract from her excellent music picks.

I can't stand Claire Byrne, so I'm happy enough with David McCullagh there. I'm not sure it will suit to listen at that time often though.

I won't particularly miss Ray, but I feel whatever has happened it has been handled poorly and I certainly don't agree with the hatred on here. Likewise from speaking to many people today about it, I don't think the prevailing view on boards is representative of the general public, as is very often the case.
