Lets celebrate a score at least!

This is a definite improvement over last week, as sad as that is. Set piece is solid and we've looked more prepared physically. But scramble defence has been crap as well as our handling.

And Will Connors is getting a card here.

    That is a yellow minimum.

Conners will be blessed if this is anything bar red here.

Connors looking at a red here

Ah I'd say that dip is enough to save him, but that was always going to be high. Silly stuff from him.

Thats gonna be red card i feel.

Absolutely brutal. Head on head at speed. Connor should be done for the night.

Play on. The Bulls player drops the ball causing a huge change in height. Connors is not high.

Cooney on fire looking like the real deal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,190 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Henshaw, McGrath and Connors have been three of our worst performers so far. Hard to get anything out of a game when your most experienced players are letting you down.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Paid Member Posts: 31,197 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

He's definitely high. The player dips so staying a yellow is fine, but the change in height isn't actually that much. Connors was going to be high either way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,067 ✭✭✭Paul Smeenus

    Connors very, very lucky.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,728 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Yellow is fair, Connors is tall, he was bent at both hip and knees, and stable. Any lower he ran the risk of being steamrolled. We must spread the risk and responsibility in line with the spirit of the game, ie, it was neither dangerous nor reckless.

where is the playing the 9 call there, when McGrath is smashed out under the sticks? Such a stupid new Law

Cooney, TOB and JOB are the only ones posing any threat to the Bulls.

Leinster have been decent even down to 14. Happy with how the scrum is going. Whatever Tom Clarkson has done over the last 18 months has clearly worked.

Always had an impressive loose game, but he has come on so much as a scrummager.

Absolutely excellent yellow card period from Leinster. Keeping the ball in hand much more than last week and it is working.

Good to get a try from tough carries up front.

first attack in the 22 and a try. About time. I’m not sure why people feel this is much better than last week though. There isn’t a payer out there who hasn’t made a significant unforced error.

Quite like our white jerseys, the colours are nice

Will Connors high tackle - I did not have that on my bingo card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,190 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

This is clearly a much improved performance over last week. Our lineout is stable and providing a clear platform to launch attacks from. Our scrum, bar the last one, has looked solid against a huge South African pack. And we're competing far better in the physicality stakes.

Leinster haven't been great, but they're playing to the levels you'd expect a side to be at early in the season. Last week we looked at least three weeks behind where we should have been.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,190 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Yet again, McGrath and Henshaw just aren't executing to an adequate level.

Amazing turnover and utterly wasted by Henshaw.
