my FB Account has been suspended after reporting a Fake Profile

This is what I am at now after reporting to Facebook the other day someone who purported to be me on Facebook and had set up a profile in my name.

I hope the suspension is lifted soon for me - they suspended my profile, the legit one with hundreds of friends on my profile and years of uploads , but left the fake profile up with just 4 friends!!

Its been over a day now , and stuck on this page when I log in:

can you even get to speak to a real person these days in Facebook or are things just done all by ai BOT these days?

Your account is gone. I'm sorry. The only way to get it back is to go the legal route.

Years ago I got an email saying my Facebook Ads account was banned. I didn't even have a Facebook Ads account. I never posted a single ad or spent a single dime on Facebook ads. Yet I was banned for inappropriate conduct.

I pressed the appeal button, for the appeal to be immediately denied and to be told my FB ads account is now perma-banned, and I can go the legal route to get it unbanned.

So yeah, Facebook moderation is brilliant. It's all done by AI now.

Thanks, ah well I wouldnt bother going legal route - but its a shame all the shame , had a load of other facebook pages and groups under my profile too (I should have made someone else moderators but I never ever got around to it) at least then someone else could have gone on them to take over things should my account have been locked out (like it now has) .

Same happened to a friend. Received a bunch of emails within a half hour period - password reset request, change of details, change of phone number and an account ban for inappropriate behaviour. Nobody to talk to, no route of appeal. When she tried to report a fake profile, it redirected her to login, which she couldn't because her account was deactivated.

If you Google it you will find a large community of people who it has happened to.

I notice they (facebook) still keep sending me notifications on my mobile about who wants to join my facebook groups or a reply that needs approving on my groups …. yet I am suspended so when I try to log onto my account/profile all I get is the submitted appeal message

Thank you everyone for your input/help/replies.

My original FB profile is back and working now as it should it looks like.

steps:
When I went onto another device (Tablet) it asked me to sign out and sign back in again. When I signed back in it said that they noticed some kind of unusual posts and to change my password and then sent a code to my phone and gmail address then asked me a load of privacy and security questions and then when I pressed go back to feed it all came to life and worked as it should.
