I was looking at a KML of this walking route, particularly the first stage out of Marlay Park, just out of curiosity for perhaps doing it some time and noticed that certain parts of the walking route are along open roads that cars would presumably travel along. Just wondering how feasible this is for people who've actually walked that particular stage. There's sectors of road with absolutely nowhere to stand in for cars to pass safely. For instance, at Kilmashogue Lane on the approach to the forest trail,

And then here on the R116, on the approach toward Johnny Fox's.

Do people generally feel safe walking these types of roads with cars coming around bends at speed?
