Getting older - lamps are failing

A general question to the community as I'm sure someone has a solution.

I've noticed recently that as my eyesight gets worse - am farsighted ie. can see a 6" gong at 100m but can't read anything at 6 inches from my nose - I've started holding-over more than dialing as I have to put on reading glasses to see the elevation on my scope- not ideal if moving from one distance to another in a hurry. I saw a chap on (i think) a texas plinking who seemed to have scope ring just forward of his magnification ring with what appeared to be a small magnifying glass. Question - does anyone else have this issue - if so how do you deal with it & has anyone seen or know where I could find a ready-made solution?
