Has anyone had any experience with moving their fibre connection (ONT). Mine currently goes into the attic through some ducting from the ESB panel on the side of the house, but now that i'm converting the attic to living space i'll have to move it or lose internet for the 6 weeks of the build.

It's not too difficult. Just bear in mind that the cable is delicate so be careful when you go around corners that you don't bend the cable or when you go through a drill hole that you don't push it, always pull it from the other side and if it gets stuck, check the hole rather than just pull it through an obstacle. Also note that you can't just cut a fibre cable into the right length or connect two cables like you can with a copper cable. The connector always needs to stay on it.

Best get a box with a roll of cable in it, for example 20 meters. Get a proper cable track as well (not just a duct tape) and stick that onto your walls. Then press the fibre cable into the track but be careful in the corners. If 20 meters is not long enough you either need a box with a longer cable or a 2nd box that you connect to the 1st box. You can't just add a few meters of cable, the cable needs to remain intact.
