And the Dominion was responsible for the attacks on Cardassian civilian targets during the rebellion eg annihilation of the population of Lakarian City. In total 800 million people dead.

As the then leader of the Cardassian Union, didn't Dukat invite the Dominion in and they then went about and wiped out the Maquis in the DMZ, (and potentially by "taking back everything Cardassia lost" was reclaiming worlds that the Federation inherited as a result? How many civilians were wiped out as a result?

The man has more blood on his hands than most. Still an absolutely epic character though, and a masterclass by Marc Alaimo.

Even as I type the above, it hits me the absolute richness of storytelling that Trek used to give us. There's not a hope in hell that many of us will be here in 20/30 years debating anything from the Kurtsverse. In that sense, it really "is over."

I'm not sure any studio has the will to return Trek to what it used to be.

The gorn. They got fleshed out more and are a fairly impressive species. Also like the Vezda, but think that's about it.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

They could have. But also without supranational bodies there's no definition of warcrimes.
