got the approval letter today for a 308 , i applied for 1000 rounds at the time and for a sound moderator, noting on the letter about it , so now waiting for the license to arrive , is it a good sign if there is nothing on the letter about not getting 1000 rounds and sound moderator. ?

Nope, they never note the ammo amount or S on the letter, only on the licence.
You can always ring up with the firearms certificate number on the grant letter and ask though.

Never forget, the end goal is zero firearms of any type.
