Barry Dunne has got a lot of mention lately as a result of being the main person that makes the phone calls for the Bauer Media stations' Cash Machine. He has been with Dublin's 98FM for a long time now and more recently has started presenting on Today FM once a week.

Barry started on pirate radio in Dublin during the late 1980s right up until the mid 1990s.

    Those stations included:

    Radio Dublin

    DLR

KHTR (forerunner to early Sunset FM)

    NSR

    Sunset FM

    Coast FM

Radio City (station based in restaurant of same name in Rathmines in 1994)

Radio Dublin Country (short-lived offshoot of Radio Dublin in 1994, not to be confused with when Radio Dublin went all country itself some years later)

    Hot 107

I know that Barry was involved, besides NSR, with some Kevin Branigan led stations in the late 1980s. Would they include Kiss 106 and/or Signal? I think he may have turned up on Ballyfermot's Smile FM in December 1988 as well. If you have any clarifications or further stations, please add to this.

Possible stations that Barry was with in 1988 include Zee 104 from Stillorgan and Q107 from Ballyfermot.

It would be great if Barry Dunne followed the example of Ronan Scanlan who supplied his stations for the thread dedicated to him!

I have been reliably informed of the following for Barry.

    KissFM 106.6 in Stillorgan 1988

Radio Dublin 1990-1991 and then some very brief stints in 1993/4

    KHTR 1991 (became Sunset)

    DLR 106 1991

    Sunset 1991-1994

Fresh FM (Ballybrack - became CoastFM) 1991

    CoastFM Ballybrack (1991-1994)

    NSR 105 1992

KissFM Castlebar voice overs and taped shows

Radio City Rathmines (located in restaurant of same name) 1994

Country Radio Dublin 1994 - an Alan Hunter splinter group which lasted two weeks!

Country Music Radio 1994 - a Joe Doyle station which lasted one week!

Radio Nova (Omeath into Warrenpoint/Newry) 1995

    Hot 107 - from Drimnagh 1995

    Legal stuff

    Anna Livia FM 103.8 1992 and 1994

    98FM

    TodayFM

    SCB-FM (Ballyfermot College)

    UCDFM

Zenith Classic Rock (under the name Graham Carter)

And then random voice over work
