Journey from Pearse station to Galway, but not including tram - will IE website sell ticket?

Journey from Pearse to Galway, in the evening.

I want to take the 18:40 from Grand Canal Dock, through the PPT, onto the main Cork line.

This train goes as far as Hazelhatch at 19:28, where I change onto the 19:31 Heuston-Portlaoise.

I get off the second train in Portarlington at 20:08, and change onto the Galway train at 20:13.

However, the IE journey planner suggests taking the tram from Connolly to Heuston:

I would prefer to take three trains.

Is there any way to exclude the tram from the search?

Or will the ticket above work on my three trains plan? (I doubt it)

    Thanks.
