Final Interview guidance

    Hi

I have a final interview scheduled for a very interesting role, the week after next.

Advertised as a 5 day week role, but I would be keen to explore the option of a condensed working week. Their website mentions it is supported, but I am unsure if it is supported in the role I am being interviewed for.

Question: Should I bring this up in the final interview? or wait to see if an offer is made and bring it up then? Willing to negotiate with them if it got to an offer stage…

    Guidance appreciated,

    MS

When you are down to the last few candidates ANYONE of them will do the job. It's all about personal discrimination - would I prefer to work with Jane rather than Mary or Joe, who would I prefer to go on the coffee break with etc…. so NO I'd bring up redefining the work week at that stage….

I would not bring that up unless it was an absolute deal breaker for you. Something like that could possibly derailed your chances.

I’d hold off until you’ve received an offer. The final interview is usually more about showing you’re the right fit for the role and team, and you don’t want to risk giving the impression that flexibility is a bigger priority than the job itself. Once you get an offer, that’s the right time to raise things like working pattern, as you’ll have more leverage and can negotiate from a stronger position. Since the company already states it supports condensed weeks, it’s worth bringing up then.
