Consuming 150 Watts Standby power at home

I got solar panels and a 5KWh battery installed last summer.

Doing "nothing" (e.g. at night, or when we're away) my house appears to consume 150W. Is that normal??

As often happens, my battery discharged to 63% from 8pm to 8am last night. So 12 hrs, 1.85KWh... that's where I get the 150W figure.

Could my big American fridge, WiFi router, TV & VirginMedia setup box on standby, 3 Amazon echo devices, 4 landline handsets, standard house alarm....(can't think of much else) be responsible for all that?

Yes, that's a pretty average baseline for a modern house as everything off draw. Your fridge will be the biggest draw but the items listed will pretty easily draw 150w in standby in addition to your fridge.

The fridge alone will easily use 150W.

    Thanks @banie01 and @Jim_Hodge

I googled my model of Samsung fridge - it says the annual power consumption is 450KWh.

So ignoring that it'd consume less at night (when not being opened) than daytime, that's ~0.6KWh for my fridge overnight... so the equiv of 50W running power for 12hrs.

Googling VirginMedia router... it says around 10W.

There's still another mysterious 90W for 12 hours... so 1.1KWh to account for out of the 1.85KWh.

Fridge, Freezer, Pumps, Alarm System, Router, Doorbell Transformer, Standby electronics like TV, Oven, Microwave etc, any chargers plugged in, Timers. Lots of stuff all drawing small load. It all adds up.

Your battery will have losses as well in the conversion process....so some watt hours gone there too

Your fridge will only be running ~ 50% of the time so a 150W Fridge will average ~ 75w so ~ 1/2 of your 150Wh numbers. I have a Fridge Freezer (80W) and a small upright Freezer (60W) so ~ 70W at 50% running time.

I averaged (per Smart Meter) 148Wh from 1930 to midnight, last night, so similar to yours, one TV was on for this period.

I always get confused with these 1/2 hr readings so my consumption was actually 296Wh, I consumed 1.33kWh in 4.5hrs = 296Wh (per hour)?.
