Can’t get a builder for a small renovation

    We’ve been trying to get a builder for a renovation in north Dublin with no luck. They’re happy to come see what we want and act enthusiastic and then don’t come back with a quote, except for one and that was extortionate. We’ve wasted months waiting for these quotes and believing the promises that they’re coming “tomorrow”. It’s very frustrating.

    What are we doing to frighten them off? We only want a couple of walls knocked downstairs and the garage converted. Do builders not do jobs that size any more?
