    Hi all,

i have a spreadsheet program which is from 1993 used regularly containing about 30 separate spreadsheets within the program folder. Each of the 30 spreadsheets have macros for printing, insert new row, saving the file etc- we would like to see the coding / macros so we can copy them to new spreadsheets we create but we cannot find the location of where the Excel4 macros are.

Can anyone suggest where these might be located.

    regards

Excel 4.0 (XLM) macros are typically found within macro sheets, which are separate sheets in an Excel workbook, not within VBA modules. These macro sheets can be identified by their .xlm extension. To locate them, you can use the Document Inspector or the View Macros option in Excel. Additionally, Excel 4.0 macros can be restricted by default for security reasons, and you might need to adjust the Trust Center settings to enable them.

There's a python module for that, if that's your cup-of-tea. Not sure it will work on Excel4 though.
