Seems so many calls went 50/50, trying not be too kneejerk to jump off players but some didn't look great, and likes Haaland Wood reinders ekitike kudus all looked solid options, no idea what to do

I could easily WC to go with a Salah and Haaland draft.

It’s so easy and affordable and you could play 442 and have a squad of 15 starters. Although it would be easier to play 353 and have King as your 4.5m midfielder on the bench.

You can also easily have 1 x 6.0m defender and 2 x 5.5m defenders.

You are sacrificing having Palmer and Saka at any stage though.

Is Palmer worth it though ? Looked very poor again yesterday. That’s over half a season now. Think I’d rather have Cucurella.

There will be a very strong template by GW 6 and I think that will include Salah and Haaland.

Im very very tempted to get ahead of the template but also concerned that the transfer window isn’t closed. It’s a shame they never stuck with the transfer window closing before the season starts like that did that one time (maybe it was two years they did it for).

I went down that route. 442 with Palmer, Salah and Haaland. Slightly risky but so far I’m happy with it. Defence is light is the biggest negative.

I wouldn't be too worried about WCing too soon.

I've done it a few years now and it has always paid off. FPL is all about getting ahead of people and cropping an on form talent.

Ye WC looks good now but won't in 2/3 gws so unless catching price rises not worth yet, think need get a better handle on defcon points which looks like some players could hit a lot

I’m not so sure it’s the players themselves that are great at getting DC’s. Yes some players are but they’ll more than likely be the dominant of the two CB’s or the midfield terrier.

It seems it’s the opposition (how they play) that may be more relevant for DC’s.

The only players that had a good record for DC’s last season that hit it this weekend were - VVD, Lacroix, Senesi and Caicedo.

Yeah exactly. There's no player in the world is gonna score every game or get clean sheets every game, and after on week you're worried because your 6.5m midfielder isn't on track for a 38 goal season

Fullkrug was banging them in preseason and Forrest were scoring none. Tempted to upgrade Fullkrug to Wood before he goes up in price. Would mean downgrading Palmer or Rogers.

Ah crap. Really miss fpl statistics and the updates on Boards. Might just bank so. He might aswell be 8m as 7.6m
