Advice on carrot growing please

    Mid-July, those Youtube gardeners said there was still time to sow carrots. I popped down some old Rondo seeds I had, not expecting much as they didn't grow last year. They surprised me by growing! Well, there is plenty of foliage but precious little carrot to be seen at the moment. Was I too late, or am I just being impatient?
