Watermain replacement on main Douglas rd

Schools back in less than 2 weeks Is this going all the way into the city? Will be traffic carnage if they are they started at the well rd junction and are now only outside the Briar Rose

Yes, but in fairness they waited for the school holidays to start, never a good time I guess
Rock and a hard place really as the old iron water main was breaking constantly. I understand they are replacing the whole of the Douglas Road which finishes by the South city link bridge ? once they do that they are scheduled to replace te pipes in Whitethorn, Estate, Tramore Lawn and Belvedere Lawn final completion is Spring 2026.
