Bear with me please. I know what I'm looking for but also not sure exactly...:)

My Dad is in hospital and has his IPAD wirh him. It does not have a SIM slot so needs to connect to wifi. Issue is the hospital wifi needs to be reconnected if not used and also with a password. He finds this hard to use so can't use his IPAD. We connect while there but tell him he has to use it otherwise if he tries in 2 hours or so, it then disconnects.

We tried to hotspot from his phone, but same issue as it disconnects.

He will most like be there for 4 weeks. I think the only option is a SIM only router where we can top up. Don't want to enter a contract. Ideally, if we get this, we plug in, connect, then hopefully he stays connected to wifi? Sounds reasonable?

If that is right, please can you recommend basic routers and a sim pack to allow us to do this? Don't want to spend a fortune on a router as ot will be short term. Happy to spend say 50e or so and then whatever a PAYG sim is (assume this will work?)

    Thanks
