Can anybody recommend a data-only SIM that can be used without throttling in a portable hotspot? I want to create WiFi in my car.

Signed up to Sky Mobile's "Unlimited" data-only sim, but unfortunately they throttle hotspot traffic to the point that it's unuseable so had to cancel.

    GoMo (eir) - €14.99pm

    48 (Three) - €12.99pm

    Clear Mobile (Vodafone) - €12.99pm

To what extent is Sky being throttled? Did you measure speeds before and after, and from the same location and same time of day? What readings did you measure for both?

I like to see concrete speed tests for these types of reports ;-)

Btw I'm hot spotting in Spain right now. Haven't run any measured tests myself, other than saying "it's working". Must run some tests when I have nothing better to be doing, which may never happen :-D
