Normally Aspirated Petrol Engines

After owning normally aspirated VW petrol engines since 1963, if I live long enough, my next VW will have to be turbo charged, so the present 1.0L 65 BHP Polo which is fabulously economical will now come with a 95 BHP? turbo charged engine and I can enjoy the same or even better fuel economy if I drive it in the same fashion?.

I might go for one of these?

VW still sell the Polo MPI naturally aspirated engine with 80 bhp. Same engine is in the Fabia. Hyundai, Kia and Suzuki and probably others also have NA engines. Some would be MHEVs.

Conflicting information online about whether the Polo TSI or MPI are more economical. The Polo MPI had great economy in this video

TSI is a far better engine

I have the TSI in a Seat Arona. With considered driving, I can get 60mpg. There's tonnes of go in it if I need to hurry. Reliability is faultless thus far, and this engine thankfully doesn't have a reputation for clogging its intake ports

Yes, a big improvement from my first VW with its 36 SAE HP engine like the 1956 model (with a 160 watt generator) which at least had a fabulous Owners Manual.
