We are back folks! FPL website is live for the new season, and the big PL kick off is just over 3 weeks away.

The 8th edition of the €50 BOARDS MONTHLY LAST MAN STANDING is up and running. AdpRo, Green&Red, Scorpion Sting and patmac x2, cdev and reigning champion Ros1234 have previously recorded famous victories in this FPL competition, but who will be the next to go on the prestigious Roll of Honour?

Basics are :

• 50 euros in
• Person/Persons with the lowest FPL MONTHLY SCORE will be eliminated at the end of each month (first eliminations at the end of September to give everyone a fair crack)

All the finer details are in the posts afterwards to cover as many bases as possible.

Anyone interested just stick a note on the thread with your FPL user ID (ID number is in your Gameweek history link up top in the browser!!) and I'll PM you payment details, league code etc.

The setup is much the same as the last few years.

- 50 euros in

- 20 entries maximum. Pot of 1,000 euros maximum. Top 3 players get paid (600/250/150 split)

- The first eliminations won't take place until the end of September. This will give all players a fairer chance to avoid early elimination.

- All transfer hits will be taken into account (if like last season the website doesn't account for all these transfer hits, I will deduct manually to get correct score).

- This will be run by myself using the FPL website, the monthly filter will be used on the website for scores, so you will need to use up one of those valuable league slots on the FPL website!

- TIEBREAKER RULES IN POST 3 will decide any ties all season long. These are my own rules, not the FPL website tiebreakers.

- CANCELLATION/POSTPONEMENT RULES IN POST 4. After recent seasons, best to have a fall back in the rules in case of postponements or a curtailed season.

TIEBREAKER scenario will be as follows :

1. TOTAL GOALS SCORED by all selected players in the month (including all chips so bench boost goals count, regular captain goals worth double, triple captain goals worth triple etc.)

2. If still tied, TOTAL ASSISTS by all selected players in the month (including all chips so bench boost assists count, regular captain assists worth double, triple captain assists worth triple etc.)

3. Sum of all CAPTAIN TOTALS in that month (triple captain will also count in this)

4. Fewest RED&YELLOW card points by all selected players in the month (including all chips so bench boost cards count, regular captain cards worth double, triple captain cards worth triple etc.) based on my disciplinary points system

- yellow card = 1 point

- regular captain yellow card = 2 points

- triple captain yellow card = 3 points

- red card = 3 points

- regular captain red card = 6 points

- triple captain red card = 9 points

4. If on some godforsaken planet we are still tied!! we would run some sort of a play off the following week between the tied teams.

CANCELLATION/POSTPONEMENT scenarios will be as follows :

1. In the event of a curtailed season, all eliminated players will remain so. If 2 gameweeks or more have taken place in the final month before the season is officially cancelled, the players who are bottom of the monthly standings will still be eliminated as normal. The pot will then be split evenly between all remaining players in the game.

2. At least 2 gameweeks* must take place in the specified elimination period for players to eliminated as normal. If only 1 gameweek has taken place, we will add the scores to the following months tallies and also add more elimination places to the following month if necessary.

* A gameweek will be considered completed once more than 1 Premier League fixture is played.

ELIMINATIONS TO BE AS FOLLOWS :

1. End of September - 2 players eliminated from combined August and September scores
2. End of October - 2 players eliminated
3. End of November - 2 players eliminated
4. End of December - 3 players eliminated
5. End of January - 2 player eliminated
6. End of February - 2 players eliminated
7. End of March - 2 players eliminated
8. End of April - 1 players eliminated

This will leave 4 players in May to fight it out for the top 3 prizes.

If we don't get the maximum 20 players, I will adjust eliminations process closer to FPL kickoff.
