5Gb Fibre Broadband fair usage policy...is it still in place ?

    I'm trying to find out if EIR still has their fair usage policy in place. My usage is on average 3TB per month.

    Looks like they are not having limit in place since 2020…here link:

    and I cant find any info telling me about it in relation to the new 5Gb Fibre Broadband but sales people are telling me that policy is in place. I'm after confronting 4 sales people from EIR and none of them was able to show me the piece specifying conditions of that "Fair usage policy" but in the same time each one of them told me about the policy in place.

    Any info from you guys. I'm already at the edge. Would like to try it but based on my average usage I want to be sure that UNLIMITED is really UNLIMITED.

    @Komornick No there’s no data cap on eir unlimited broadband plans anymore, it’s unlimited.

    It was removed for anyone signing up to a new contract after July 2018.

    “Unlimited Broadband: eir unlimited broadband has no usage caps* or throttle limits

    *Unlimited plans sold before July 2018 are subject to a fair usage allowance of 1TB. Over this allowance there is a charge of €2.00 per GB to a maximum of €100.00”
