Power Track 5500 Treadmill with E09 Code

I have a Power Track 5500 and it worked fine up to yesterday. When I now turn it on I get U1.0 followed by E09 on the display and it won't start. Any ideas ? I read some artiles on the internet which refer to a speed sensor but this treadmill doesn't have one...it's a very basic machine. Thank you
