EPH Controls

We have EPH Controls for our oil powered hot water and heating and have them for many years. But yesterday they stopped working and I can’t work out what the issue is.

So if press boost for hot water on the controller panel or use the app it shows boost is on but nothing happens. The red light does not come on the controller and the water does not heat up. This is the same for the heating.
I changed the batteries on the 2 thermostats recently (one of them was blank) and they are both showing temperature etc. We are not out of oil.

Have you seen this before? Could it be a problem with the boiler? We have a Grant Vortex boiler (outside)

    Thanks for any help/advice.

I had this about 2 years ago. Do you have visible valves (yellow boxes) on the pipes. In our set up, the EPH controls the yellow boxes valves and unless these light up the control unit is not actually sending a signal to them to open the valves. The opening of the valves and the flow of the water is what actually starts the boiler (at least in our set up), ie the EPH controls don’t actually work the boiler directly. I was able to manually open the valves (by means of little toggles on the back) until I could get someone out to check. He recommended that I refit the face plate on the EPh controls myself - got him to do it as he had enough time to go to local merchants and buy it within his 1 hour minimum call out.
