    Hi

I have recently moved supplier from Pinergy. While the meter is no longer used it remains powered with lights flashing etc. and so obviously has an ongoing cost of electricity.

Can it be turned off/powered down?

Have you contacted them to arrange removal of the meter?

If you wish to change electricity supplier
please call us on 0818 36 37 49 so we can
arrange to have your meter removed and
returned to us. Once our engineer has called to remove your meter, we will verify any remaining credit balance and a refund will be processed.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.

They don't seem to do that anymore, they can adjust it remotely so it no longer operates as a credit meter. I spoke with them and there was no mention of the time of having it removed.

    Is that the only option?
