Issue with date on logbook

    Just back from picking up a nice W124 in Germany. Ad said it was registered in June 1995. Turns out it was July 31st, so not yet 30 year old.

    Car was too good to turn down so I bought it.

    What options do I have to make sure it's just €200 VRT?

    A quick trip to the UK by ferry in August and get another ticket?

    Any other suggestions?

    Car is ŵorth about €6k so need to avoid it if possible.

    Export plate runs out in 2 weeks, but new insurance not an issue.
