parasol dropped down and smashed the glass table top. Rathwood don’t seem to do replacements. I got quoted 400 + vat and delivery for a perpex one made but hoping for something cheaper. I would hate to have to throw the table away.

Anyone have any suggestions, no matter how wild ,

for replacing a 170cm round Tabletop? No need for the hole in the middle for the parasol.

I have a round glass top for a smaller rattan table that's disintegrating beneath it - you're welcome to it if it's of any use (I'm not at home so can't give exact diameter but I'm guessing it's about 1 or 1.2m, I'll measure when I get home this evening).

Have a look on advert/marketplace/done deal for a second hand table with glass top, you might be lucky!

I'm trying to replace my garden table, similar glass top with hole for parasol but it's impossible to buy just a table, have seen several just like I want but all come with 4 chairs that I don't want!

thanks so much for the offer of the table top. However don’t think it would work well with mine being 170cm or 1.7m.

Contact a glazing company ,tell them what it’s for and get a price from them.

Could you get a wooden top made or make it yourself ?

I’ll try glass next. I got a quote for perpex and it was over 400, so expect tempered glass to be equally pricey.

I don’t think my carpentry skills would do a nice round circle without the right tools.
Does anyone know if B&Q (or other hardware providers) would cut circles in store?

Yeah, mine is but a pup, it turns out, at just 84cm.

But if anyone else happens upon this thread and it's any good to them, it's here for the taking!

I used these guys for a replacement piece of glass for a clock, might be worth giving them (or someone similar more local to you): https://prestiglass.ie/

I remember getting a wooden worktop cut to my specifications once upon a time in a place called "The Carpentry Store" in Naas. So, such services do exist.

Haven't used them but tosize.ie (their link will not respond correctly) cut to shape. What you are looking for, in waterproof ply, will be very expensive though.

Ensure you ask for toughened glass, normal glass could result in a very bad accident.

I think that reputable glass suppliers will not cut normal glass without enquiring what it is for, then they will tell you what you need.
