The farmers are such snowflakes. This is mainly about being anti-competitive. It's a pity they aren't as concerned about the horrors they inflict on defenseless animals.

It's funny that they're trying to protect the words sausage and burger. Which are basically 'ground up food pressed into a shape'. It's not like they're actual cuts of meat the way a ribeye steak or lamb shank would be.

I think the focus is on terms like "vegan chicken", which shouldnt be allowed for obvious reasons.

In the wild or free range, chickens are omnivores but If the chicken was housed indoors and only fed plant matter and grain could it correctly be called vegan chicken? 😉
