    Hi,

I'm ooking to get replacement headset bearings for a 2020 Canyon Endurace AL 7.0, local bike shop said they need replacing but he didn't heave them in stock.

These are the correct size I think, however shipping is more then the bearings. Are these the same size please? If not, anyone recommend anywhere in Europe that's the right size & inexpensive please?

    Thanks in advance,

    Pa.

Are the Canyon headsets not some funky proprietary items available only from Canyon?

I may be smoking some funny stuff but I could have sworn I heard something along those lines.

No, they're not the same. The o/d is the same, but the i/d is smaller, and there's no dimensions given (that I can see) for depth or chamfer angles.

I don't know if the first link is actually the bearings you need, but if they are, the measurements are:

    i/d 30.15mm

    o/d 41mm

Depth (or height, whichever you prefer) 6.5mm

    Internal chamfer 36°

    External chamfer 45°

Do you have the old bearings out? Are there any markings on them, or do you have a set of calipers so you could measure them?

E.Fox Engineers near Baldonnell supply a range of bike bearings , might be worth checking with them once you know the size.

The ones from Aire Velo are correct, thats were I got my last set from, for an old 2014 Endurace, I tried to fit these myself but made a haems of it (the extraction I think!) so ended up getting the LBS to do it…do you need a headset press for putting them in ??

(and yes the bearing [sizes] are proprietary for Canyon)

No idea about Canyon sizings but TradeInn.com/bikeinn have a good range of bearings at reasonable prices. Shipping is extra but if getting a few bits it makes it more economical. It's been by go to shop for parts the past few years.

Id a similar problem before with an old Time frame with discontinued components, I bought a few different varieties of what seemed likely to work from my research and advice. Then when they arrived I tested what fit etc and sent what didn't back for a refund. Was annoying but not as annoying as ordering the wrong fit and reordering etc…

On the rare occasion when someone comes into work to have headset bearings done on a Canyon, I tell them to order the bearings direct from Canyon, then come back and I'll fit them…

60% of the time, it works every time.

    Just saying.
