Renewals - Scope License and Prepopulated Errors

    Anyone notice the pre populated forms have errors in them?

    I have seen wrong phone numbers, different names etc all in my forms.

    Also on my renewals I see a new text saying you need a restricted license for a telescopic sight? I taught this was only ever for night/thermal vision scopes

    That form says "a telescopic sight as defined in Sect 1(g)(1)" which states "

    (i) telescope sights with a light beam, or telescope sights with an electronic light amplification device or an infra-red device, designed to be fitted to a firearm specified in paragraph (a), (b), (c) or (e),

    (ii) a silencer designed to be fitted to a firearm specified in paragraph (a), (b) or (e), and…."

    As for mistakes and erroneously??? reducing your magazine capacity or the number of rounds allowed, I will leave you to think on that.

    Remember that ANY mistake that is made is your fault and your responsibility.

    Make sure that you keep copies of everything, especially if it contains other peoples details, because this can have GDPR implications.

    If you can do the job, do it. If you can't do the job, just teach it. If you really suck at it, just become a union executive or politician.

    That was my taught just couldn't find the details on phone.

    I have my own and also another person I know receive renewals with loads of errors, one even had their wife's name as owner even though the person isn't even listed on any documentation.

    I had a previous renewal arrive with my referees number as my contact details

    My ammo allowance was never high so they seem to have left it alone

    I always take a copy and pic of envelope before sending it off
