unsweetened ice tea, maybe? just brew some really strong tea, put in the fridge. Add ice cubes and water to dilute to preference. Alternate between lemon wedge and a few mint leaves for a bit of flavour

Or, even better Newcastle West produced Ballygowan Hint of Fruit. You don't need to go to France either!! 😁

Those things shouldn't be marketed as water. They are strongly flavoured and sweetened. They are misleading. I bought one once by accident - it was a mess of flavourings and artificial sweeteners. Truly misleading to market these products as "water".

Although I do remember that Ballygowan, sometime in the late 80s/early 90s did produce an unsweetened water with (genuinely) a hint of citrus - if I recall correctly-lemon, lime and orange flavours. I think it was just water and citrus oil. Very subtle and nice. Only came in glass bottles 750ml, I think. Didn't last long. Too subtle for the market, I suspect. Anyone remember these?

I’ve the kids trained to look for mineral water instead is still water when they’re picking out water in the shop. Not sure if it actually does anything but seen as it’s the same price why not.

I think the taste of Midwadi is gone terrible, we just forgot to buy it a few times the kids have no issue with just water, 2 of them would usually choose milk first anyway (and yes it’s full fat). 1 bottle of Ribena usually lasts maybe 2 or 3 weeks, the normal one not the no added sugar one.

They’ve no money so if you don’t buy it they don’t drink it, give them milk as an alternative preferably local. You’re keeping their vitamins D levels up and it’s full of protein. They’re never sick, good breakfast before school all love bacon and eggs, teeth are perfect.
