    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

American Utopia concert last time around was incredible - have a watch on YouTube - he also played a pretty much best of Talking Heads - if you haven’t seen him I’d strongly encourage making the effort you won’t be disappointed

Got second row. I think it's my sixth most expensive ticket, but I'm delighted.

Fifth time seeing him after Ambassador 2002, Olympia 2004, NCH 2009, 3Arena 2018.

2025 Gigs and Events: Stuart Murdoch, Lyle Lovett, Stuart Murdoch, Wolf Alice, Camera Obscura, Rewind Festival, The Corrs/Imelda May/Natalie Imbruglia, Iron Maiden, Neil Young/Van Morrison, Lana Del Rey, Weezer, Sparks, The Doobie Brothers, Billie Eilish (x2), Oasis, Sharon Van Etten, The Human League/Blancmange, Deacon Blue/Turin Brakes, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings (x2), Nerina Pallot, Sleeper, Wolf Alice

2026 Gigs and Events: David Byrne, Metallica (x2)

Block E Row 20 - happy with that - didn't want to miss out chasing too long for better seat but looked like only a few there for Block D

Don’t tell me it was 7 years ago he last played? Jayzuz time is running away - 2018- it feels like just a couple of years ago that I was at that concert

Yeah, I was a couple minutes late in, and the best available was row 30 in Block D.

There was a ticket for Flat row A that was almost tempting, but at 190 euro, so I decided against it.

Upcoming gigs and events: The Rocky Horror Show, The Pillowman, Rhiannon Giddens, New Purple Celebration, Foil Arms and Hog, Nova Twins, Tanita Tikaram, David Byrne

I got Block C on the Three Presale, reasonable happy enough with that, € 90.80 per ticket incl fees.

Picked up 4 in block D €81.25 but then add the TM and Facility fee brings it up to 91 Eur hope that inlcudes a free pint

I've been trying yesterday and today to get a ticket using the really helpful artist presale info here. My problem is I can't see any button beside the artist presale heading to click to get into the selecting number of tickets bit, I'm stuck on the David Byrne 13th March Dublin page which lists the various countdown timers for the general and 3+ and MCD etc on sale dates, and clicking on the artist pre-sale happening now bit doesn't do anything. Not sure what the problem is but very grateful if anyone experienced this before and found a solution. I cleared browsing history and cache but that didn't seem to affect the situation.

    Are you using the app?

If so, the app never works for presale. Either use a desktop or delete the app and use the website.

Using the website, gave up on the app last year.

Odd. Try this link from tomorrow at 9.55.

    https://www.ticketmaster.ie/an-evening-with-david-byrne-who-dublin-13-03-2026/event/180062C6CB4185BE?did=prompre

Should get you into the promoter presale which starts at 10.

This happens to me every presale. The work around I found was to open the link in incognito mode on the browser so it doesn't open the app when you click to the next step

If you're on android and you hold down links and select "open in new tab" rather than just clicking through, it'll also get you around the app opening.

Something I discovered yesterday - the app never works for me unless I have my location turned on, it's a nuisance but hopefully this helps!

    TenPicnics…

There was a post on another thread that worked for me - sadly now seems to have vanished

Go to the tour section of the DB website and input the Code SKYGUY for the date you want

Something funny going on with my online connections the last while, couldn't even edit that post to delete it.

Thanks all for the assistance re tickets, unfortunately nothing worked so gave other cities a go and just now got 2 tickets for Amsterdam, 3rd row from stage in central position, total of €351 incl all charges. Hadn't planned on a trip to Am'dam for February but happy now.

Managed to get tickets in the bleachers but delighted to see him. Super Saturday in 6N the following day as well. Be great weekend altogether

I had a look at the ticket I had for him last time. Same row, B, but the price was €101 that time.

Gig has sold really well with only a few hundred unsold seats, should be a great night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 147 ✭✭walkonby

is what TM shows available a genuine picture of how many tickets sold and what’s left I wonder. They way they shadowdrop tickets closer to the date makes me think they hold back a lot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 13,637 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

It's genuine. 'Shadowdrops' are generally just returns or production tickets (which are less likely in a seated gig). There's no reason to hold back tickets.

Seems to be one of those occasions where the pre-sale worked really well for good choices and not just fobbing off rubbish for fear of missing out. I always prefer standing myself but got a great seat in B for €90 near the front and end of row.

Shows the value of having the '3D seat Map' instead of 'best available' only

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 278 ✭✭citycentre

Can't wait, though I do wish I could have afforded better seats! I'll be up in Block L - Central but high up! It'll be my 8th(!) time seeing him. In the tiny Queens Hall Edinburgh 1998, The Ambassador 2002, In both The Radisson Galway and The Olympia in 2004, The Waterfront Hall Belfast (which was less than half full!) in 2009 then the 3 Arena in 2018. He has never been less than mindblowingly great. Only regret is to have missed the DB/St Vincent tour in 2013…

A small batch of pretty good seats have popped up for the show if anyone missed out (Block B and F).
