Blocking side entrance into petrol station

Was in heavy traffic and mistakenly blocked entrance to petrol station

no yellow box. Was just wondering legally I don't think I did anything wrong or I'm I wrong legally? ( I know ideally I should keep it clear but just got caught out

If there is no road marking and you were in traffic I can't see any way it would be illegal.

No yellow box no requirement to keep it clear. But as you said yourself ideally you should leave a space in traffic for cars to turn in out of common courtesy.

That said from my own experience a good proportion of the drivers out there either don't know what a yellow box means or are paying zero attention and blindly drive into them blocking a junction.

Relax we all make mistakes.

Just chalk it down as a lesson for the future.

It's a kind of "sod's law" that if you don't leave space in situations like that someone will rock up who wants to make a right turn.

This! There is a fire station near me with a yellow box outside it obviously. Every morning without fail there are cars stopped at the lights in the yellow box. Would love the alarms to go off and see what happens!
