Horizon Remote Control Not Working

    Never had much problems with this remote for the past few years - but the other day, it would not change channels (or do anything else). The top left and right buttons, "TV" and "Box", are now permanently lit up red (solid), even when the batteries are changed. I Googled the problem and tried to "pair" the remote to the box - Press "TV" and "0" for 10 seconds - but nothing happened (the red buttons remain red…). Any advice on this?

    VM will send you a new one if you report the fault. I helped my neighbours pair their new remote with their Panasonic TV when they got a replacement a couple of years ago.

    Maybe you asked and they have none left?

    Is it possible that the buttons that are permanently lit up are just jammed in a pressed position? That would stop other functions from working. Maybe a little debris or sticky liquid got in there?

    Apart from turnong everything off and on again, you could also try removing the remotes batteries, pressing every button then holding down power for a minute replace the batteries and try again..
