I am in the market for a Macbook Air. I have been looking at prices and the best prices are available on Amazon. Has anyone got any experience buying laptops from that source ? The price is €200 lest than bricks and mortar stores so very difficult to ignore. Anyone have any strong feelings for or against buying the device from Amazon ?

Have you looked at Apple's refurbished offerings?

I have bought Apple products from Amazon with absolutely no issues. One thing to know is if buying from the UK store that the MBA will cost more due to higher VAT rate here that Amazon is required to apply.

Other than that, enjoy the savings!

My son bought a new MacBook Air from Amazon Ireland just last week - no issues at all with order or delivery, might as well have bought it from the Apple Store, the only difference was indeed the price. He also purchased the Apple Care for €90 annual subscription but I think the build quality should be the least of his concerns compared to laptops from other manufacturers!
