Eir FTTH broadband 500mb but only getting half speed

    I'm on EIr FTTH broadband 500mb but only getting 232 mb download speed try wireless and wired with same results.

    I try resetting router but keep getting half speed but strange thing is it goes 2 .5 GHz and then will change to 5Ghz.The router close to all my devices so 100% strength and wired same results.

    I don't know if it congestion but getting them speed's all day and night or is my router gone faulty.I wonder is there any point in ringing EIr or not.

    If you are getting the same speed on wired Ethernet as you said then yeah you should contact eir. Further investigation is needed with an engineer call-out most likely.

    I presume you have already tried unplugging and plugging back in your ONT on the wall and just unplugging and plugging back in both ends of the Ethernet cable between the ONT and router.

    If you had your own router you could try that instead of the eir router to rule that out.
