    Hi everyone,

Just encountering this message every time I turn on my computer.

Does this mean the cell battery on the motherboard is gone?

Is it a DIY job to replace?

    Thanks

    Hi,

More than likely the battery on the motherboard is gone and needs to be replaced. There's a good chance it's a Cr2032 button cell battery.
This is something that you can do yourself easily.

Take the side off the case (assuming it's a tower / desktop computer). Locate the battery on the motherboard. If you have the manual for the motherboard, it should tell you where and what battery you need.
    Find and replace the battery.

Next startup it should display a settings message. But after that it should have all the settings saved.

    MiCk B. :-)
