Hows the breath this morning after that combination!?

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,476 ✭✭✭Orla WW

    Morning All!

@Phil WW Can you expand further on Ewan? you say he doesnt defend himself, i did a quick read of his posts from comments last night and he clearly did on occasion , is there something else i'm missing to your reasoning?

I'm not liking the below post myself.. Its like he has no reads himself and is just using other peoples reasonings that came before him as reasons for himself. I could be reading too much into that but will be keeping an eye on his postings today and hope that he can contribute more and it could just be a lazy villager but

Also, just an FYI Search is acting the bollox this morning.. gateway errors.. Feckin NuBoards

    • *but id be of the opinion that this is how wolves mostly generate reads

that was supposed to be after the "but" in the above post

It was his earlier posts yesterday that I didn't think he was defending himself as well as say you or Steve were, they're reading just didn't come across as strong. Pushing 3+1 wolves possiblility whick i don't think makes sense, could be sowing confusion there

I actually felt a little better about them after they replied to me yesterday evening but reading back now I'd tend to agree with you. Their reads in that post are mostly stuff others have said and then calls Holly out for bold text with a laughing face, very soft

I'm still unsure between Ewan and Nigel as to where I would vote but those are my best bests so far. At least Ewan is engaging with the thread more and giving opinions. Good or bad it's helpful to have opinions out there

Well the game has been going since Saturday night!

@Vernon WW you seemed to be active enough yesterday and saturday, well up until your last post at 6.15pm or so, did anything stick out to you?

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,476 ✭✭✭Orla WW

Lettuce know when you are caught up and share your thoughts

I'm not too fussed with nigels posts at the mo, they defo stick out as i agreed to previously but the post of gobbledigook explaining the OP isnt actually too bad, not for the nonsense but moreso that they tried to explain it in their own way and offereing up their own insight into it rather than just towing the line of the others that are there.

Ive a note on them to watch, but ive a note on most people that have posted 🤣

I wasn't a big fan of Nigel's 'never change village' comments & then their only read being a 2 post player. i'm all for calling out lower posters but on it's own it just seems an easy call out

Not too much. Trying to keep an open mind at the minute, and not judge people too readily. Major bugbear is Holly at the moment, the father ted posts were funny at the start but won't be helpful going forward. Slight suspicion it's a tactic to post a fair amount without saying much.

I'd like to see @Wendy WW thoughts so far, looking back on their posts it's mainly just filler fluff, but not anything to draw attention.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,476 ✭✭✭Orla WW

Id agree, in that it is distracting. but i would hope that it was just a sunday thing and they will contribute going forward from here, seeing as they were active, i would like to hear what they have to say about what others have been posting.

@Holly WW anything stick out yesterday to you yesterday?

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,864 ✭✭✭Nigel WW

I’d like to hear a lot more from Patrick and Lucy.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,566 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

Should also add that on quick read back I have a good impression of Regan. I like that they advocated declaring votes on thread, it's super useful for wagonomics and I think wolves would be unlikely to push for it.

🗞️ Morning Edition – Day 1 – Werewolf Watch Special

WOLVES ON THE LOOSE: A DARK NIGHT ON CRAGGY ISLAND

In the early hours of this morning, a terrible howl was heard echoing across the island, followed by the sound of suspiciously jazzy music and the revving of a hairdryer engine. Another innocent islander has vanished into the fog – presumed eaten, torn to bits, or otherwise inconvenienced. The innocent islander is not any of the 16 citizens reveling in the ongoing crisis, but a flavorsome beginning to the game.

Island sources suggest three suspects may be behind the ongoing lycanthropic spree:

    • Pat Mustard, the scandalous milkman and follicular powerhouse

    • Father Dick Byrne, Ted’s eternal rival and smug neighbour

    • Father Fintan Stack, known menace, rave enthusiast, and soul-crusher

Locals are advised to stay indoors, avoid the parochial house unless armed with a holy water balloon, and to report any suspicious facial hair growth or declarations of "I’ve had my fun and that’s all that matters."

ISOLATION NATION: FATHER FINTAN STACK SENDS LOCAL TO ST. CLABBERT'S

In a shocking abuse of clerical authority, Fr. Fintan Stack was seen forcibly carting @Frank WW off to St. Clabbert’s Home for the Terminally Bewildered late last night, citing a severe case of Hairy Hand Disease.

The afflicted party was seen scratching uncontrollably and mumbling something about "just trimming the hedges." Despite their pleas, Stack overruled all objections, declaring:
"I've had my fun. You're off to Clabbert's, and I'm listening to jungle all night."

As a result, @Frank WW is barred from voting in tonight’s lynch, leading to speculation about Stack’s true motives — medical precaution, or sinister silencing? We leave that to our readers (and torch-wielding mobs) to decide. Local reporters can confirm this is not flavour.

LOCAL PRIEST CONFUSES MILK FLOAT FOR POPEMOBILE, DECLARES HIMSELF HOLY EMPEROR OF LEENANE

In lighter, flavour-related news, Father Noel Furlong has once again made headlines after commandeering a milk float during his latest youth group outing. Wearing a cardboard mitre and wielding a ladle, he drove in erratic circles around the village green shouting, "I AM THE VICAR OF CRAGGY, YOUR SOULS ARE MINE!"

Local teens were reportedly "mildly confused but mostly indifferent." Gardaí were called but upon arrival joined the procession, mistakenly believing it to be a local arts performance. Ted and Dougal declined to comment, but Dougal was overheard asking, "Ted… is this how Popes happen?"

Nightly Clerical Raffle Returns Amidst Bloodthirsty Murders

By Our Lady of Perpetual Suspicion, Staff Reporter

Craggy Island — In an effort to maintain community spirit and distract from the nightly slaughter that has rocked our quaint, priest-heavy population, Father Ted Crilly has proudly announced the return of the Craggy Island Clerical Raffle.

"Yes, we may be enduring a terrifying werewolf infestation, but there's no reason we can't enjoy a bit of harmless fun while we wildly accuse one another of murder," said Father Crilly during a slightly damp press conference held outside the Parochial House. “And the best part: everyone’s entered automatically, whether they want to be or not!

The raffle, traditionally held during the Season of Lent and Low Morale, will now run nightly during the Werewolf Crisis. The winning ticket will be drawn each evening immediately after the lynching, assuming enough villagers survive to hear the result, with the successful resident being notified by PM.

Mrs. Doyle, official Raffle Overseer and tea-related enthusiast, confirmed the prize is “a surprise”, and may include “tea, teapots, or a framed photo of Our Lord—possibly signed by Daniel O’Donnell.” When pressed for more details, she offered reporters seventeen different kinds of sandwiches and then locked herself in the sacristy.

Notably, raffle prizes will only be awarded post-lynch, a move Father Crilly described as "economically sound and morally ambiguous."

“We wouldn’t want the prize going to someone who turns out to be a werewolf, would we?” he added with a nervous laugh, glancing suspiciously at Father Jack, who had just bitten a pigeon.

    Residents are reminded that:

    • You cannot opt out of the raffle. (We tried that last year and the Bishop got stuck in a bucket.)
    • If you win and die before using your prize, it will be ceremonially donated to the Sacred Tidy Box at the back of the church. In other words, use it or lose it.
    • All bribes are welcome, but must be disguised as liturgical donations.

Stay tuned for raffle results, nightly lynchings, and continued speculation as to why Father Dougal insists the werewolves might be “just dogs with feelings.”

Tonight’s prize is a lovely Drink! Feck! Arse! Survival kit.

Don’t forget tonight’s vote and remember:
If he’s got sideburns and growls at the moon – he’s probably not just ‘from the mainland’.

I’m just going read backs on everyone and I noticed him on my 3rd read back on someone else.

Can wolves vote block themselves or is it safe to say Frank is village?

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,241 ✭✭✭Phil WW

Well I had Frank as village lean based on outright calling you a wolf. Don't think a wolf does that

I dunno if wolves can vote block themselves tbh but I'm keeping my village lean on Frank. Don't think it clears them though?

Okay a lot to unpick from the Necro announcement. Delighted he said what was flavour and what wasn't.

So Frank WW has lost their vote. Worth looking into their posts to see if any reasoning there, might be something the wolves don't like. Could also be wolves nominating one of their own to throw off suspicion.

The raffle is good, hopefully some powers, presumably given to a player selected by Ted.
