Motorised valves, barely open ... more than fully close!

I've two EPH 2-port motorised valves, I've recently gotten them wired in (original plumber left them permanently open), however, when they're open, they're barely open, and in the closed position, they're very closed (off the plumbing it looks nearly -45 degrees), they appear to be installed in the correct direction, however, if you were to guess, you'd think the closed position was open and vice-versa … is this normal!?

How do you know they are partially open, can you see the valve in the piping? Any photos of the setup and the valve positions?

I should say that it still works, but seems odd that the opening is so minimal, and they do judder when closing.

It doesn't take much to open them to full bore. Maybe they're fine.

I think that's a question for EPH in Cork, they should be able to tell you whether they are working correctly or not.
