Nitrous oxide - doing balloons

There seems to be an epidemic of N2O among teenagers. Everywhere I go I see the cannisters. One of the negative side effects of using N2O recreationally is potential heart attack. Could this be a reason there have been teens dropping dead doing sports?

Cannisters are everywhere along the roadside. Hopefully it's not the drivers that are huffing that crap.
