My parcel was sent to the wrong address do I have any come back ?

Just wondering what my rights are in this situation.

I ordered a watch online that cost 200euro that was sent to the wrong address over a month ago.

When I checked the tracking on the parcel containing the watch I found out that it had been sent to the reception desk of a block of apartments close to me but is not my actual address.

I rang the reception desk of the apartments but they said they knew nothing about my parcel that was "delivered" there over a month ago.

Do I have any come back in this situation or do I just have to accept that my parcel was probably robbed ?

Looking at the invoice I can see that I gave the company the right address including my Eircode but somehow the postman "delivered" it to the wrong address.

I did and they just told me to contact the reception desk of the apartments it was "delivered" to.

But the people who work on the reception desk said they never got it.

If you haven't received the item and the seller won't rectify. Then initiate a chargeback for undelivered item.

For a 200euro watch it just wouldn't be worth doing.

You contact your bank and go through the chargeback process. It's very straightforward and no legal representation required.

That's the seller just fobbing you off.

They and/or the courier they engaged to deliver the parcel messed up. Their incompetence is not your problem and not up to you to resolve. It's entirely their problem. As banie says, if they won't play ball then chargeback through your card issuer or dispute on PayPal if that's what you used. They entered into a contract to deliver the item safely and undamaged to you, they have failed to fulfil the contract.

Go to their website, fill out their customer contact form and ask to dispute the transaction.

Well then you have done your bit so and TBF probably a lot of the time you probably would have just got your parcel at that stage.

Back onto the seller, inform them you checked the other place, no joy.

If they are not cowboys, they will offer you a refund or replacement.

They have a genuine grievance with the courier company, but that's not your problem.

Sellers issue, not yours.

They have a contract with the courier, not you.

If the courier doesn't deliver to the correct address and you entered the correct address, the seller can get compensation from the courier.

Simply tell them that you will commence a chargeback at the end of the week if it's not rectified.

These lockers are located in the ALDI carpark, which was mentioned in the order. parcel ended up in the Apartment above the carpark. I notified the seller, and the courier company, I received the parcel within a few days

Not at all. Did this myself recently. Ordered some stuff that got hit by exorbitant import fees.

Refused to take delivery. Package was sent back to seller by customs. Despite tracking , it got "lost" in transit. Seller refused to issue a refund.

I've then escalated via bank, provided proof of purchase, refusal to accept delivery, and confirmation of return with tracking number. And that got me my money back, less shipping costs, within 30 days.

I found the packaging down 😞 n the basement. There's no comeback.

I hate the way amazon just throw stuff outside my door.

I bought a thousand quid laptop from amazon last year that was just left outside my door that anyone could have picked up if i wasn't at home at the time.

During COVID .. a mate of mine, postman... He put a package in the door of a house, nobody home.

It was savaged by an Alsatian.

He was sanctioned by management.
