An Post Sim works in phone but not in router

I bought a tp-link router Archer MR200 with the intention of using it with an An Post sim, but even though the sim works when I put it in my phone, it won't work in the router. When I connect to it, it says 'connected without Internet'.

On the other hand, when I put my phone sim (Vodafone) into the router, it works fine.

I notice that whenever I put the An Post sim in the phone, I get a push notification to click -Internet: save and install. Would that be why it doesn't work in the router does anyone know, or is there some other reason why it isn't working?

Any advice appreciated. I can't use my Vodafone sim in the router because I need it for making calls, messaging etc so that's why I bought the new sim.

You need to look up the APN settings for an post and manually apply them to the router.

Assuming this router wasn't supplied by Vodafone and networked locked.

Thanks for the reply. I did that and, although it got the sim working on the phone, it didn't on the router, even though the settings were the same, and no the router wasn't supplied/locked by Vodafone.

i can't seem to get back in to the tp-link login screen now to redo the settings ☹️

No idea if this applies to An Post Mobile but some MVNOs I have tried needed "Data Roaming" enabled in the router settings for the internet to work, even though I wasn't roaming.

    Thank you so much!!

Roaming was enabled in the sim settings but I didn't know there was a separate roaming setting in the router settings, so once I changed that it worked 👍

I really appreciate the replies, thank you
