Am considering going in 2026. Has anyone been before and know the process/any tips for getting tickets? Is it luck of the draw which day you get and who you get to see that day? Is there any way of ensuring you get tickets to see a certain player in the 1st round? Do all rounds go on sale at the same time?

I tried getting tickets this morning for next year championship and there was very limited availability. I could only buy premium tickets for one of the Tuesday sessions which didn't really suit.
Would anybody know if there is another way to get tickets or if there would be a chance of getting them on the resale site they recommend?
    Thanks.

Sometimes resales come up throughout the year. Just keep an eye on it, some seats may come up for sale between now and next March.

I was there the last 2 years. I think it's luck of the draw who you get to see. I try to get tickets near the red door to have a chance to see both tables. I had to sell back one of my tickets this year and it was available on the ticket site straight away. Some people's plans will change throughout the year and they'll return the tickets. It's just a matter of checking that site regularly as Arthur Daley suggested.

I am not sure there are enough people here to work but if people on here managed to get tickets, but change plans, then you could offer them on boards first.

As an alternative to resale you can transfer Crucible tickets to a named person for no fee (there is a resale fee if you just return them). You do need to transfer the name btw as they check / match names to ID at the venue (thanks Just Stop Oil).

I had experience of both resale and transfer for 2025; had 6 tickets, did a name change to someone on adverts for 4 and then resold 2 via Crucible. Both ways worked out very well.
