    Hey folks,

I'm looking to get underneath the car sandblasted and treated for rust—just cleaned up and protected properly.

I had posted this before for the Donegal region but does anyone know anyone reputable in any part of the country that does this type of work? Seems difficult to find someone who is known to be reputable.

    Any help appreciated.

A friend had a car done by HCR in donegal, the quality of work on the car is very impressive

Do you mind me asking what kind of car it was? I had a look at his page there and it looks like he work he does is on high valued classic cars. It’s just a regular car I have but would pay for a good job that would get me a few more years as mechanically it’s perfect and might be more cost effective than buying a new car.

Normally that kind of work is done with the car stripped down to the bodyshell.

Have you considered applying something like Lanoguard or similar? It won't reverse the rust but will stop it progressing. It needs a topup every year but its easy to do and not expensive.
