Well, I wasn’t expecting this, a remake of The War of the Roses starring Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch. The original was pretty dark, this seems to be a lighter take, at least going by the trailer:

I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

I loved Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner together, amazing chemistry whether in love, lust, hating each other, arguing etc., honestly I'm just not sure these two work as a pairing in this (Benedict and Olivia)

Did I say “lighter take”? Here are a couple of scenes, the marriage counselling then the lawyers’ meeting. Very NSFW language.

Why can't Hollywood green light something new. Endless remakes.

Also, Colman and Cumberbatch are great actors but I'm not buying them as a couple.
