How hard is it to change a 3kw inverter to a 5kw hybrid?

    Is an electrician needed?

    Thanks

I doubt it's classed as "minor works" to be frank!

A 5kW to 5kW would be easy as all cable/fuse sizes would be the same, however your current cables/fuses are sized based on the 3kW so would likely need to be changed to allow for the increased power.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
