Utility Broker Info. Help!

I'm in energy sales at the moment, selling gas & electricity. i'm thinking of branching out on my own and running a utility broker service for my clients.

Whereby, instead of selling for a particular company. I'd genuinely find my clients the best deal I can on the market. Since my service would be free to the client - I'd need to realize a supplier fee from the energy company.

Herein lies the problem. I can't find any utility company that works with third-party brokers. There doesn't seem to be an API online either. I can't find any info on website 'bonkers' about working with affiliates. The affiliate sites eg. CJ, Awin don't list energy advertisers. I'm stumped.

I've heard there are others in the industry that have a similar business model. How do they receive their commission? Who works with independent third-parties in the utility industry?
