On-line Purchase in Australia-Where?

Hi All,

I want to purchase a watch for my son who is currently in Australia.

Instead of purchasing here and going thru the rigmarole of postage, customs etc. I was going to purchase from an on-line store in Australia and they can ship it directly to him.

I was just going to use www.watchdepot.com.au

Has anyone had any dealings with 'Watchdepot' before, in any country or could anyone suggest an alternative reputable store in Aus?

I’d suggest just calling a local store with the watch you want and paying them over phone. I’m here in Sydney right now and there’s boutiques for every possible make and model.

There is, but I'd assume they are not purchasing a boutique watch. Eg Rolex, Omega, or any of the boutiques in Martin Place.

Watch Depot is legit. It's owned by a jeweller but online only, so savings vrs B&M shops.
Could also try Watson's Jewellers who are similarly priced.

Alternative, if your son is in a main city. There will be a Myer or David Jones department store nearby. You could order there and he could pick it up the same day.

Went with WatchDepot, who turned out to be in Adelaide, but when posted was delivered to his place in Sydney the following day.

All worked out.
