Apologies if this is posted in wrong place, it may well be! I dont have an outdoor aerial, have sky stream (which is always hogged by family members!) and l really want to be able to watch bbc in another room. I haven't a clue about this kind of stuff - im assuming if i buy a freeview box in the north id still need an aerial to pick up bbc? Is there a box i could buy that would allow me to stream bbc and itv from internet without needing an aerial? Or is there a vpn that would definitely let me into iplayer? ( Ive tried the free versions but not a hope of accessing iplayer!) Many thanks for any advice!

You would need to be living near the border or close to the east coast to be able to receive Freeview with an aerial. Getting UK channels online is difficult but not impossible, but can't be discussed here. You could find out how much the Sky Stream puck is per month, this would give you everything on the Stream box in another room.

No discussion of circumventing regional restrictions here.

You could subscribe to the "Whole Home" pack from Sky which will give you a second puck(the device is called a puck), which you can then plug in to another TV in another room.

Other than the border and parts of the eastcoast it can be almost impossible to get Freeview in the RoI, in the rest of the country UK channels are generally available via a satellite dish, free to air or via Freesat. Its a small difference, Freeview / Freesat but some have caught out.
